I needed such a converter while adapting more than hundred maps. Now from a Premium Pack to another one with their few maps HEX Editor is enough.

Maybe for future re-converting some maps updated by Id Software (if there is such a need).

Try:

1. to rename zzflag3.pk3/scripts/0ctf3.shader to zctf3.shader (for exemple)

2. to change "r_picmip" to "0"

Because I am OK with these files - see screenshot.

Ok, now is fine, because important is to set the value from Vertex to Lightmap. Picmip 12 may be allowed.

Extract the archive to your Quake III Arena folder

To play on Quake Live maps under /baseq3 mod:
1. start quake3.exe
2. open console
3. type /map <mapname>

To play on Quake Live maps under /ql mod:
1. start ql.bat
2. use game menu to choose a gametype and a map

This variant of /ql mod is based on Q3TA files.
So, there is no green armor, no some gametypes.
For proper further use, after the first start
open your q3config.cfg and fix it - replace
seta team_model "<yourmodelname>"
seta team_headmodel "<yourmodelname>"

Some comments:
I tried to delete all wrong or dubbed shaders and files (textures, sounds, models).

My set of shaders includes:
1. Q3A shaders (included in the original Q3A set - pak0.pk3 - pak8.pk3)
2. Q3TA shaders (some of them replace Q3A shaders)
3. some QL shaders (which lack in the first two sets)

My set of files (textures, sounds, models) includes:
1. Q3A files (included in the original Q3A set - pak0.pk3 - pak8.pk3)
2. some QL files (which lack in the first set)
3. some Q3TA files (which lack in the first two sets)

Player models include new versions of the old models, there are also "bright" and "sport" models and "Santa" model.

There are new models of flags (see above in this thread).

Is this the latest source of your Quake Live map ports?
I've added this torrent to my client, and will be willing to seed it once I have downloaded it.
