I can start the excessive server using this command./quake3e.ded.x64 +set fs_game excessiveplus /load default.cfg
What I am having a hard time with is configuring the game to my specifications. I don't understand how to make the game type FFA and add bots via the cfg file. Like what file should I place the [=initial]GT_FFA in and where? I assume the default cfg file should be sufficent? I have pored over the documentation so I know I am missing something.
Any way to specify (folder) where the Q3A E+ server logs are stored in Windows 10?They currently default to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Quake3\excessiveplus.
No matter what map I use, I'm getting can't find maps /mapname.bsp

my home computer cannot be used as server anymore beacoz power consumption cost too much
so i want phlease anybody from this community to let my server run

I dont have server online 24/7 anymore and my home server 24/7 cannot run too.
I only have turn pc on , play quake 3 , then turn pc off.
How can i track score from my game now ?
Server spider kick my server out after some minutes are offline.
I use linux as my desktop operating system, i can automaticly send log files somewhere.

Hi Guys,
PLayed this MOD a long time ago - where BFG's could propel you around the map and you spawned with every weapon which was usually a one shot kill. I can't seem to setup a local server in this way. Is there some kind of .cfg file that contains this? Am i missing something completely obvious?

Has someone been able to run a dedicated server on a raspberry pi 3 ?
Hi, i have a custom bots.pk3, works perfect,
but people with auto download on can't connect to the server.
So i had to remove it.
Now i added set g_botsFile "bots.txt" in the server.cfg,
and placed the bots.txt in the "scripts" folder.
But when i /rcon g_botsFile, it gives: "g_botsFile" is:""
And when i try to do /rcon set g_botsFile "bots.txt", i says botsFile is read only.
So no matter what i try
