hmm I still waitng nvida drivers.I have too have the Ves so i can use coolbits and do overclock stuff and lock my frps with vidia settings..Vista sucks power up no matter what.Trying turning all the eye candy crap off...Allso the usb ready boost realy helps I used A 2Gig usb,,It has too be flash type and when you formant it use slow ntfs not fast...

Sarasota,I dunno which card u got but if u have an older card of geforce 4/5/6 series u can try omega versions which have those overclock options unlocked by default.Dunno how much they progressed now cause im still on 44.03 version :] If they are too old for ur card try using riva tuner.

I have 3-5 smooth seconds, than a interrupt of arround 0,3 seconds and than again smooth for 3-5 seconds and than again this interrupt.

But this interrupt is not just ingame, it is already in the start-menu (where u can chose singleplayer for example or options). I move mouse from left to right, and than the crosshair stops for a short time, than again smooth for a few seconds, than it stops again (in the menue!)

So i guess its not a config problem.

To help u a bit more to support me a bit:
- Win Vista Ultimate (latest updates)
- Board Asus P5B (latest drivers)
- Przocessor Core Duo 6600
- Vid-Card Asus 7950 GT with 512 mb ddr3 (latest driver)
- 4 gig of ram
- razor copperhead (latest drivers)

So, maybe someone here withsimiliar problem? Or someone who found already a solution?

(sry for difficult explanation, but my english skill is pretty low this morning)

lol. all computers do that. i should fix itself over-time. it fixed faster when the screen flashes and goes real fast. but thats just me forcing my opinion.

ok decided to get vista.........

got pb kicked once at the end of a map, didn’t see the reason but soemthing about unknown windows API function. Then got kicked again for empty cd key I have an original copy with the key written in. any ideas anyone ?

vista and quake sucks Big grin

sure u can play, but there are a few problems...

i had vista self (crack Big grin) and installed XP again...

my problems where

- no gamma control ingame, so i had to to it with ati control center in windows EVERY time before i start quake, thats annoying

- often kick on pb servers, reason: empty CD-key, but key was ok.

Quake is playable at vista, but not very good =/

ok I seem to have worked out most of the bugs and vista is working fine...but still geting kicked for no cd key, anyone ?

ok all seems to be ok...its running as good as xp..still crappy lags, but the same. though I get random kicks on PB for api function but I can have been playing for 10 maps...very odd
