guys, bout fps drops is just matter of hardware, ur video card or something else sux, so, instead of download maps, lower ur graphic detail. u can also make a custom cfg with low detail and another one with high detail, when u get more detailed/larger maps u /exec LOW, when u get some normal/smaller maps u /exec NORMAL. ql maps gives fps drops primarily coz of better fog effect etc. i think also from conversion for q3 but not so much.

when i 1st played these new maps it lagged like crazy so i lowered all my game graphics and now no more lag so diadiadia u right xD Winking

fps drops are not about hardware. quake is old game and no need super HD graphic cards with 12 core processors. fps drops are fail from map maker side.
ofc good PCs can handle those shit maps full of bugs (what are making fps drops) with stable 125 fps.

its not the point to tell players: go change components of your computer cuz you have problems with our rotation. its point to use maps what are playable for others i guess.

yours server, yours rules - i can be wrong.

if i put r_swapinterwal 1 it drop my fps from 125 to 56.
