Shitrobot: You extract the files to the 'quake 3/excessiveplus' folder, while making sure you remove the 'conf' subdirectory from therein before the extraction. Apparently, you will also need to have the 1.03 version installed.

For online play, you only need to copy "zbeta3.pk3" into your "excessiveplus" directory.
Something like: C:\Games\Quake3\excessiveplus\zbeta3.pk3
