Hello. Please, recommend Quake3 Team Arena servers. Master server still don't work 
This is about clean quake game. No e++ mod.
=- INSTALLATION -=
Are my steps correct ? Answer to bold text please.
1, Install as admin q3pointrelease_132.exe from ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/quake3/win32/. Do not allow install PunkBuster during this. After this step, it will be installed pak1-pak8 files.
2, Copy and rewrite quake3.exe file (1.32c ) from ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/quake3/ to your game folder. It has lesser file size than file from PointRelease 1.32. Is it normal ?
3, Copy pak0.pk3 into baseq3 folder. I don't have official source, nor cd.

I was playing Q3A long years back. But I forgot everything. Even my nick, email for this forum 
I was playing E+ mod with server config e5r I guess. Just few weapons and fast weapon-shot moves from one map corner to another. I liked it very much. I remember some good german servers... But don't know which program I used to use to connect to them.
Now, please tell me where to download all essential game files for Q3A, cdkey, punkbuster settings, console settings. I was seriously very long time, I can't remember a shit.

Wanted to play a little again after 12-15 years 
Now running an iMac with osx and ioquake. Tried to get e+ running and installed as per instructions. I can not connect to any servers, message is "Please install v2.3 to play on this Server" (i get the same message for 2.2b as well.
I tried re-install with nothing more than pak0-8 in baseq3 and excessiveplus. Same problem.
I've searched but have not found anything similar so I am lost. Any kind soul that has this running on a mac ?
(ioquake works fine on other servers and I have played a couple of times)

Me and some friends have been having fun with an old Excessive Plus config on a map called 17+ for some years (actually, we started back in 2007!).
Recently I decided to try upgrading EP from what I believe was (OMG!) version 1.03 to the latest and greatest version. However, when I do "/load myconf.cfg" to load the config we were using with the old Excessive Plus version I get error messages and the config doesn't seem to load.
I've tried both addresses but no luck it fails to connectIve tried
ts.excessiveplus.net:8767
and
65.75.222.245:8767
any help is appriciated

Can someone explain how I could insert it in the game chat?
it's another client? or is it the same as we have for free?
Punkbuster works there as bad as here?
