Client questions, configurations and troubleshooting.
Hello.
I have created a server and for now, everything is working fine.
The only thing I would like to change is the behavior of the timer.
Is it possible to make it count up instead of having a countdown ?
There is a command for this setting ?
ExcessivePlus seems to have taken over my ioquake3 install:
- Every time I change my player name, it changes back to excessiveplayer.- I have the excessiveplus HUD at all times.- Singleplayer mode is broken, with some levels not loading enemy bots and with error messages from excessive upon leaving the game.
I haven't deliberately even installed Excessive, it appears instead that joining an excessive server has done this to me. I've gone and deleted all xcsv*.pk3 files from my baseq3 directory, but it's still there... any ideas?
First trouble:
I cant remove lightning impact (watch on screenshot)
This shit look's crazy and really disturb.
cg_lightningimpact is 0, but XP don't take it/.
Second trouble:
I use quake3e launcher to play Quake. This launcher has good feature — r_nomip "1", that r_picmip affect only on worldmap textures, no models (like in QL).
On OSP this feauture works great, but on XP with r_nomip 1 parameter player sees red screen ot take damage, with cg_drawDamage and cg_damageDraw 0.
Hi,I miss good old times with q3a and our community. I wanted to play again my favourite game but I don’t have my old configs and my Quake 3 on Steam don’t work propetly. Can anyone write here instruction step by step how to configure this game after installation? I wish to play in my native 1440p (2560x1440). Also could be nice to upload clear cfg with all important commands. Instruction of setup Excessiveplus mod would be also great. I feel like noob long long years ago before I started to play q3. ^^

it worked on my old pc (windows vista) and now it dosent work on my newest.
Can i find the game legal? and then apply the mod? im oldschool but now i against torrents XD mohaha

Hi, new user, I just recently learned about this mod while looking for a Quake 3-equivilant to the Infection game mode I so adore in Halo. However, I don't run Vanilla quake, and am having issues running this mod. I put the mod in my Spearmint Quake 3 folder as it says I should for Vanilla Quake 3, but when I run Excessive Plus 2.3 in Spearmint's Mod menu, the game restarts as it should, before popping up with the message "Unable to locate data files. You need to install Excessive Plus 2.3 to play", and going back to normal ol' Quake 3.
