Hi guys, I am back to action Happy !
I noticed some changes, a kind of desert around here eh?) So I have to check some things here. I don't include v2.3, because it has nothing to do and it is new stuff.

I ask to you, all the active players, to vote the XP version that you most liked, even if with some bugs, thus the version in which you still have good memories, good time with your clanmates, when the game was for you more competitive than now. Or even when Beer.freeze, Aim+ freeze and ]DoK[ Danger frosted were full!

I ask to everyone please, to make some propaganda to your old mates and friends that don't play or play less, because they don't like the last version/s.
I need the vote of them too!

So guys, zmb, thc, extreme, mr, da, ds, jumps, and all others alive and half alive, I hope to see your votes. Thanks!

1.02b but i voted 1.3 cos its the most fitting option in the poll

e+ 1.02b on xnature config was true hell Big grin

Don't really have a preference, unlike others who believe the end of the world has arrived when they see bugs in a new version or they don't like a new feature, and that the older one is always 10x better, usually due to nostalgia.

Besides the flaws that the newest versions could provide within its new netcode and that needs to be fixed or the majority of peoples will always whine about some bugs, I will always prefer the newest version, simply because of its amount of features it got inside, MVD multipov demos ability, Anti Cheat, Anti Wallhack, Improved predictions and of course unlagged, I could vote for one of the older version, but I dont remember which it was, the one that had this Multi-Arena gametype that was sadly removed in some further versions.

1.03 by far, it had an extremely 'tight' feel to it. Physics were great. Jumps, hitting frozen corpses or just railing, it felt tight as all hell. The early "2.0" versions combined with plusN were ok but something was lost. Frankly, I have no idea how you can separate them (that is the 2.0 versions).

You can just watch some old 1.03 demos and literally see the difference.

I see you asked for some propaganda so I will make another post;

The only thing really missing from 1.03 was the "blue scores" bug and the queue bug, in fact I don't think anyone really wanted something else from a update. I kinda reminisce the time since I was the most active then, and I had a great foe in public games named Laktos (hated that guy). You had clans like DRT, Lemon, KO and SWE duking it out with all star lineups. You betcha it was good times. And the competition on public servers was great too, even if Torzelan or HQ were too fancy to join us on freeze tag.

Short, Saint, Enter X, Hard, Hylian, Zenus, Vobb...and that's just the swedes playing back then.

Yeah I'll take the good old times rock and roll any time.

Thanks for your votes, it is good to see your pov.

@cml: I read the 2.3 changes log 2 months ago, I noticed good features.

Evolution never scared me that much, I survived to so much bugs Big grin, playing and complaining, reporting, thinking that sooner or later I will get used.

@Mircwar: thanks for the propaganda and the infos/bugs of the old version.

I still remember the good feeling of 1.03, even if I was noob, with bad mouse, low config knowledge). It was the last period of e5r.cfg I think, then I enjoyed eDawn.cfg, PlusN.cfg & PlusC.cfg. I think that I reached very good results in 2.2 or something like that, despite the many false hits Devil

1.03 forever, and as hell !!!

No offense and with all respect to newer versions and the efforts made to develop anti-cheat systems and fix much bugs are honestly appreciated.

-BUT- the game lost the [fun and joy] since then and people started to disappear gradually, even opening threads "why this mod sucks" etc which is really disappointing to read.

Aside of hearing uncountable whines ingame instead of smiles, no matter the whiner's ping level, even i as an E+ fan, maybe don't whine, but can't hide or deny playing with no appetite, waiting and hoping some miracle to happen and return the old days game atmosphere, not a [Nostalgia], but missing the smoothness i used to perceive, and notice the difference in every single action, since the feeling of old cfg is still present and still sensible!

So i might would refer the "why this mod sucks" to the uncomfortable gameplay in the first place, other reasons might be tolerable!
