xp_rotatestep / random map rotation

Hey

I'm having trouble with the xp_rotatestep command for random map rotation on my serv.
I added it to crontab.txt
* * * * * /execstr set xp_rotateStep $(sv_serverid)

The issue : server seems indeed rotating on random new id ( the number changes on new map loading), thought it always restarts rotation back to first map, and for a random number of time.
But sometimes it randomly goes on another map, then next rotate call goes back to frst rotation map.

Example :
Assuming q3dm1 is top map in rotation list :
server will load 7x q3dm1 (or whatever random number, could be 3 o

The cause of the incompatibility between recent OA releases (>= 0.8.5) has been discovered and should be fixed in the next release (or maybe sooner in a hotfix).

Meanwhile, I have made a compatibilityfix.pk3 that you can offer to your client to autodownload.

Why are the settings in FW/CW different?

it has different switchTime (bad for FT)
and a bigger campRange (bad for FT),
and u dont respawn with Rail on hand ...
That are important aspects,
that everyone is used to in public games!

Server not accepting fraglimit/timelimit

Whenever i try to play a match with my server settings, the game will randomly end without warning even though my rotation tells the game

timelimit 20
fraglimit 30
g_gametype 0

before the actual rotation. I've had matches end at 19 kills, 4 kills, 5 kills, etc. no warnings!

What's going on here?

hello how to disable the shuffle players after the match

g_botsFile read only

Hi,

When i want to test custom bots on server i get this message : g_botsFile read only.

In the server.cfg :
seta g_botsFile "custombots.txt"

When i check \g_botsFile its empty " "

When added manualy in q3config.cfg, the bots dont come in (only normal bots), leaving Q3 and checking q3config .... g_botsFile empty again. (removed automaticly)

Online dedicated server works fine, on my PC i get this "read only" message.
(No write-protect on files, other variables are changed fine)

Can someone help me out ? Thankx in advance

Enable spectators | Disable forceJoin

Hello there.

Could anyone tell me how to disable autojoin and enable spectators

on the server?

If while playing I'd like to spectate [Esc->START->SPECTATE] the server forcibly join me to the team previously played in half a second.

cvars in .cfg (and server console) are:

g_teamAutoJoin = 0;

g_teamForceBalance = 0;

NET_CompareAdr: bad address type

Hi everyone. I'm using the latest e+ mode 2.2b.

The problem appears when map changes from "with bots" to "without bots". I see numerous messages

"NET_CompareAdr: bad address type" in quake console for about half a minute, than server continues to work correctly. I look through this forum and nothing found, that helps.

Can anyone explain what goes wrong and how to fix it?

bans.txt not working

I have this in bans.txt:
