tip: You will discover that its way ahead of e+ 1.04b if you spend more time with it

Just looks like its a case of biting the hand that feeds you. we all know its taken years for the mod to improve, but seriously i dont think the loyal e+ players will m0ve across to edawn. I have registeres/played and really love edawn, but i have decided i'm staying right here. I'm sure there are a few people who would agree with me. If not, then see ya

be as loyal as they were to us for hmm, 4 years or so.
suspicious, trance posts in offtopic that there is an alternative of e+ and suddenly, puff! 1.04b, wat.
and maybe, hell if i am not right, they release 1.04 and gone again, edawn has an active dev team and they are amazing, that duster guy is now one of the persons i respect the most from excessivedawn (yep).
TBH, if u stick at 1.04, u are narrowminded, realize they left us alone for long time even releasing a public beta of 1.04 and going again to the inactivity for 2 years, that was lame.

And the suggestions and reported bugs for 1.04 were mostly discovered and made by the very people who worked on edawn and the community, so its not a copycat of 1.04, 1.04 was created based on the suggestions of people who worked on edawn and they simply implemented their suggestions here too. And anything further those suggestions will just be new ideas we come up with as u will see in the near future. In other words, this is just the skeleton on which new implementations will be added with time. And there is more to come, alot of the planned stuff is not finished yet so this is just the beginning. Nobody is forcing anyone to choose anything, ppl will ofc play what they like and choose.

for people avoiding politics... there is no reason to play both mods... Ima wait for release of 1.04 and give thorough evaluation bout what's better to play for ME... but it's stoopid to avoid Edawn simply cos "EIS RIPOFF" cos it's just a product... 1.04 wasnt around for 2 years, some people who cared bout game tried to make better mod so why rage?
aNk stays in both, but we already switched aNk serwer to Edawn mod cos it has very smooth netcode and some better features and constant development. Not saying it's a perfect mod, but Edawn beta has the upper hand over 1.04beta when you break it down to just the actual game. We'll see how goes with servers and communities though.

You guys (i mean the dev and beta testers of edawn) were yelling for years about bugs and inconveniences that e+ missed. When u understood nobody was listening, you decided to take matters into your own hands.
And reno, the hand that feeds you what?? This is nothing commercial and nobody will make any money from it. Believe me if e+ was active in development, edawn wouldn't exist imo...
FFS there is not even active moderation in all sections of this forum. Ppl swear at each other and have flame-wars and mods won't stop them. Remember that adolf incident?? How long did it take to actually shut-down the shoutbox (if your finger hurts, do you cut down all your arm?) ?
As ratz said be open-minded and consider how long was it since "the hand" actually fed you....

well edawn is much smoother in gameplay - just played it - but I still find quakelive more atractive 
anyway good job on this - if ones consider to contine playing excessive like things I think moving to edawn would be wiser - especially in longer perspective
