Looking for an alternative to E+? Then read this.

Well in fact one has no need to have a big awarness of surroundings to spot what was the reason for "easy" "coming back" and if some ppl cant read between lines (actually huuuge gaps between lines) Im kinda suprised. Nevertheless - give edawn a chance - imo how it works should be enough - especially without going into personal dislikes. (Who likes Trance anyway? Big grin)

the crew meanwhile just contains foks, an mod neutral developer and trance as admin kinda, everyone else of the beta crew is close to be considered bug hunter, but nothing more, nothing less.

about the mod:
the mod in fact, has no intention to change gameplay, but got some basic core differences, for example, if u put up the mod without any altering configuration, u run plain baseq3 - with unlagged.
otherwise, it got a lot of improvements, especially considering clan wars, such things as speclock.
if u dont wanna play it - fine, if u want, be mature please Happy

I just wanna add that if i were in shoes of an e+ player who was offered an alternative, i would first try out that alternative and then ask questions who and what is behind it, some ppl here first judge the mod based on the team behind it without even trying the mod for themselves.

I was waiting for this "alternative" more than 1.04.
But seriously I am kinda dissapointed tbh.
excessivedawn is just a "copy" of 1.03 with couple
fixes and better coreengine.

1.04beta4 is something that all e+ players expect,
that is new stuff like spawn system, new thaw system,
new better design of hud and most important for me:
new cool teleporting system.

If u are able to put those innovations into edawn mod
I will be more than happy to migrate to ur side xD

U must understand that making another mod
very similliar to 1.03 is pointless imo.
We want some new stuff not just same mod on new engine Tongue

this fixes should have been done 3-2.5 years ago on 1.03

new spawn system is added since 3-4 months in edawn, if not longer, new spawnprotection is added even longer, thaw bar is planned to come in next releases.

there is a lot of new stuff, that we had implented before easy released a 1.04 beta again.
also we got a working armor system unlike e+ does, also speclock and autorecord commands for example.
do NOT talk about things u dont know, while e+ has some minor adds edawn has a lot of fixes which are totally needed, fixes which are in e+ and not recognised by people, which u never will find about anymore on edawn.
because we are mainly focusing on bug fixes for next released, idea is to have a bug free version with 1.0.
