Ingame Spider
hmm we need noobs to see the server so that q3 can keep running. From what i read i might actually agree that is could be a plot to kill of q3 for quakelive to take over. btw this is evil shadow. My dad antichrist got in touch with the person who runs the master server. The guy who rus the master server said there was a problem with it that started a year back. He opened the ports for the evil servers and now they appear on the ingame browser fine so now more noobs come to the server . contact him maybe he can help you

Hummm no solution for linux ... sad.
Not so sad for me, cause i'm slowly giving-up with E+ my servers stay online for our team and the ones who got IP, but the fun for E+ is close to be gone...
I feel the same as for both my server( and myself
Which solution for linux should be? You mean linux game client or changes on the server side?
On the server side it is possible to add code into the game executable q3ded file, which will transparently re-register server every 15 minutes until it is put into a good position (it can take a day or more). As well as many other features can be added, but punkbuster or similar software will not work with this server (but if evenbalance will issue pb update for the new quake executable...)
Solution for e+ ingame spider. New ui.qvm packed into pak5.pk3 and ready to install by simple copying into excessiveplus folder (reload mod after copying if game is running).
Just two tiny changes: servers' array increased upto 2500 positions and cl_maxPing is auto-set to 500 if it was higher. The browser will display only 128 servers as before (it is hard to change), but internal accumulating and sorting is done in the big array, so no sorting out occurs.
Of course it will work only when excessiveplus is loaded. It does not affect to baseq3 behavior.
