something probably changed with the config of these master servers...
i used to use phgstats as a spider on my website, but since these master-servers troubles started, phgstats returns me an error :

[code:1]Notice: fwrite() [function.fwrite]: send of 14 bytes failed with errno=1 Operation not permitted in /***/***/***/public/www/phgstats/classes/q3a.class.php on line 104[/code:1]

with no change on my hosting/website....

when i try to ping monster.idsoftware.com , it doesnt respond.also,since som days ago, ingame browser is empty.same for everyone here?

Yep... the ingame spider goes crazy since some weeks now... something like constantly refreshing...
I kill the port hidding scripts .. no change in anyway (not better, not worth)...

is it hard to create/recreate a Master server ^^ ?

the masterserver currently lists 2 e+ servers.. and most of the servers are fading away.. this is really killing the scene Sad

That was a long time i dont came... so :

- If you had this server hidding script sure you would know it^^
try a little search in the forum... you'll find where u can get it, but it's a bit useless now

And... nothing changed, except that every day, less and less players are coming into servers... it's not so hard to guess what will be the direct consequence ...

C.U sometimes on servers... but more and more fluently on COD4 Confused

Sad,... i liked this game

Ingame Spider works perfect in the updated version of Quake Q3 1.32/TSU 1.32d win-x86 Dec 16 2008 (not from Id, but from ME). If someone does not mind punkbuster incompatibility and is not afraid of virus infection ( Angel ), he can try it now (rapidshare link, 540 K). To do not overwrite old version with the new one, new quake3.exe can be renamed to q3new.exe and placed to the same folder.

Having installed this version, it is better to add one new parameter into q3config file: seta ui_useGamename "1"
It enables advanced filtering by mod name and prevents servers from fading out while loading the list (if your game is working under specific mod like excessiveplus).
