Football: England vs Croatia

Dinamo - Zagreb won cup UEFA 1967.
Yugoslavia which part of it was Croatia was #4 on World Cup 1962
Croatia won bronze medal 1998 on World Cup, in quarter final pown Germany 3:0 ! In semi Croatia lead 1:0 against France and we receive two goals in two very doubt situations which referee tolerate. Both times Turam take ball from our player IMO which was fault on our player and score. Turam score maybe 20 goals in his whole carrier..

In fight for #3 place we won against Netherlands which was my personal favorite in that World Cup.

Anyway Croatia is very high on FIFA rank since we are independent state. So, we are strong football nation, and we will prove it in EU2008.

I heard today how rude englishmen were to our players.
Croatians didnt even get a welcome from them!
I mean, i dont care about football as i already said, but when it comes to politeness im twitching because here in Croatia we are accostumed to welcome our guests warmly, and that is the least everyone can do. But i guess not every nation can be that humane, ha? :roll:
If it were for some other team, they would be treated with respect, no doubt about it.
They seems to see us differently.. and when i think about it, there is no reason to because we did accomplish something in this god damn sport (like Rena wrote

Russia won the 1st ever EURO tournament in 1960 as teh ussr (LEV YASHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN! ) so it has success too... but we dont fit the bill as a big soccer nation... even tho its represented quite good (only england and brazil have a larger number of football clubs in the country (that includes all the amateur and even more amateurish pub teams )... but the league and club representation is not that strong atm
