heck, i think dm17 is a bad map for playing cws. i only like it with e5s (bfg only).
and since ctf4 is just dm17 with a mirror... maybe e5s wars on ctf4 would be fun? i dont know...

but imo CTF is capping flags with the skills of good aim, nice moves and nice tactic.
on CTF4 aim is needed, a tiny bit moves but not something you can call tactic. Any map where defense can shoot defense aint good for CTF imo.
As for TAG on dm17 I totally agree too. Tag is meant to have some unfreezing which is impossible on dm17 and so makes it senseless to play Tag on dm17.
TDM is to me pure aiming and fragfest. So dm17 is pretty nice. Enemies cant hide in a room and wait for an opponent (which is lame imo, although it is their right ofc But I agree that dm17 becomes boring if you play it too often (reason why EN didnt choose it often at all).
so I prefer CTF and Tag with nice rooms (not too small but allowing some nice gameplay)
For TDM I prefer open maps where enemies cant hide
