QConnect update

Recently I've found the old sources to QConnect and decided to fix it up and release a first public version.

This is an early version and does not contain all planed features. But it already can fully replace the old QConnect and offers a bit more comfort, e.g. it will ask you for a password before joining a password protected server.

Basically it will allow you to click on such links to join a server.
Join BEER.FREEZER!

If you start the main application, you will have access to a basic server browser, your personal local server spider, if you want. It also features an auto-update and will tell you once an update is available.

Not sure yet if it's worth to dedicate more time to this/add more/new features. Let's start with this and see how it works out.

I wouldn't use if serverspider gives true/recent feedback, but doesn't.

The screenshot above was done in Windows 7 64bit. Can you provide more details?

Spider now also shows the last update times.

no matter compatibility, run with administration rights // winx sp3 etc still shows :

+ site server spider shows earlier server status, not instant status, like you no matter you refresh you see 8 players, once you connect it's actually full server // or different map dif players.

i have the Problem when i try to connect via QConnect i am still in awaiting challenge!
@ the moment i start normal quak3.exe load Mods excessiveplus2.2b open console and type /connect IP.

Dunno why that dont goes anymore!

Hey,
Can't join through spider it just opens the qconnect and not the game itself.. and since qconnect is down I can only use the game server browser, which is fine except i'm lazy and I hear people DO connect through spider...

The liver is evil... It must be punished...

For those whom doesn't work qconnect try this -> http://www.hlsw.org/download/mirrors/77/HLSW_v1.4.0.2Make your own list and just copy-paste ip's from server's you would like to play in.

For anyone with not working Qconnect, it's a non-unicode based app, simply change your system locale back to English and it should work fine after pc restart
