Re: Excessive Plus v2.2b

About the new scripting capabilities, I just miss one last thing: a true pseudorandom function and a way to get the current time and date. This would allow to make some great configs like Voosh (also called NIQ3 for No Items Quake 3, the gameplay is basically a DM gamemode with one weapon chosen at random and given to all players - the same for everyone - and that changes every few minutes). Currently this is not possible to my knowledge, but I would really love to implement that if it was possible.

Also, I think that community's made configs and ui should deserve a menu on the website or on a wiki, currently the only way to find community's made material is to search for them in the forum and in this section:http://www.excessiveplus.net/forums/developing-hall/config-zone-tweaks

But it would be great to have a single page listing everything that has been done along with some datasheet: config name, quick description, working for which release of E+, last release date, etc...

Hello GrosBedo

I had a chance to try this out, and you are definitely right -- pmove_accurate is not right. It's slower than just plain 125 fps. I was just trying to do the last circle jump on xcm_tricks with each of the settings (125, pmove_fixed, pmove_accurate). With pmove_accurate, it falls quite noticeably short of the landing.

Maybe I'll get in touch with the devs and see if they want the pmove accurate code from my old mod.

I used pmove_accurate 1, I didn't think to try 125. I'll give it a try with 125.
