Which gametype should be in the next league?

broken is right. i appreciate that there are some fans of RTF, and as i have said previously ctf type games are lots of fun. But if its a league for "the people" freeze is the game type that most play.

....to make the league successful you need people willing to participate

and in the Bo-ometer... Happy how can you possibly give freeze 1 for action....its the fact that when you get frozen you cant play, that makes you fight for your life more…

..and Bo...5+1 is definitely 6 Happy

Hehe, nah, I reduced the tactics portion from 2 to 1 and forgot to recalculate.

And I don't care if I have to "fight for my life more" really, I will still get frozen a lot and will still have to wait and will still have to expect a kill on respawn with the following tedious waiting for an eventual respawn. So yeah, maybe there is a questionable upside to the frozen part, but the action is still extremelly low in comparasy to TDM and RTF.

TDM and Freeze require aim and moving to avoid beeing hit, and a small portion of map knowledge. RTF require aim, moving to avoid beeing hit, extreme map knowledge and map movement together with very good knowledge of your teammates and their abilities. You have to know who moves best from base to base and who is the better defender of the base on individual map basis. You have to keep a keen eye on what is happening with your teammate, if you know that your mate that is defending base is shot you have to step back and if the person defending flag carrier is shot you have to move forward to back carrier up, some maps are played better with most of the team attacking, others with most of the team defending, the team tactics tuning possibilities in RTF are huge in comparasy to TDM and Freeze. Freeze has some, like knowing who is frozen and where, and to know if you are gonna be agressive, defensive or just looking for mates to thaw, but since in both TDM and Freeze usual map tactics revolve around tactical areas (armor/weapon spawn points) and this is void in e+. Personally, and this is no secret, I think that Freeze is a waste of time Happy TDM is fun for the action but this is also lacking in Freeze.

You also have to take into consideration that most of the people that enjoy Freeze also enjoy TDM and I guess most also enjoy RTF although less than Freeze while there are a quite a few of people that HATE freeze and would only play a Freeze cw if clan is short of members. I suppose there are people that hate RFT too but I dunno of any,

Please notice that these are my opinions and are not to be taken as facts, gametype preferences are personal like most other preferences and I realize that the people that like freeze probably have a reason for it even though I cant for my life figure it out Happy So, if the league is a freeze league.. enjoy

Seems that it is a GenX disease, but I hate freeze too. I'm only playing freeze because all the nice guys/girls are on the freeze server.

If there is somebody who has a similar feeling, perhaps we could meet us on an other server? Winking

Sorry to interrupt with a long post...
Maybe im not looking hard enough (or haven't given this enough time yet) but atm i dont see any new clans being created. 7 of the 8 (?) 'active' clans are registered (GOQ has not registered... yet? Winking), so i'd like to speed things up a bit. I've set last registration date to wednesday dec 9 (started nov 28 ). If ppl wants it to last another week, its ok by me. I was hoping for one or two games before newyear though Cool
An ongoing event is quite good advertising for this mod too, don't ya think?

Some info (facts?):
- There have been 45 votes in this poll.
- According to this poll Freeze is currently in a 1 vote lead.
- But, there are 58 gamers registered for the organized fragging.
(EVOL 12, mr. 11, GenX 9, Legion 8, aSi 8, KO 5 and WASP 5)
- 13 votes 'missing' (mabe coz RTF aint an option in this poll?)
Well, my subjective calculations gives TDM a 12 votes lead atm (a draw would equal TDM).

If the remaining 13 votes aren't cast very soon (thursday?) and atleast 10 of them goes to freeze this league will be TDM...
'But, but, but, 7 should be enough!', you might think? Give it a minute and concider what clans/players plays what gametypes the most. The freezeservers seem to have most players (bro 'style' cfg) but which variety of players and of which clans? Maybe a mr/bro FFA, TDM or RTF server would have as many players?
I'm not convinced that a 1 vote freeze-win beeing good enough to go gametype 8 (non league participating players might also have been voting in this, so 13 'missing' votes is a low calculation of the non cast votes).
I might interpret this wrong...

To summon up:
This league is leaning towards TDM.
This interest in other gametypes should open up for other leagues later or at the same time, imho!

I have a few more ideas though Winking

Hm I dont get it. Here is a good, easy poll where people can vote which gametype they wanna play in the league, and now freeze has a 2 vote lead. So why is it leaning to TDM?

As some others already have said, I dont see the the fun, tactics, teamplay or ation in TDM... well maybe ation coz its mostly just slaughter. And what I know you already had a TDM league, I wasnt playing q3 then so I dont know, but Ive heard that you had a TDM leauge, it was fun´, great everything. Now why have the same gametype in a league two times in a row? So for me who even hasn't played a TDM league im really hoping that it will be freeze beause I really dont see the fun in TDM... I see it more as somekind of boring training for freeze, for unpatient players. And you see more clan players on the freeze servers, still there is good servers with bro cfg that u can play TDM on. Well well this is my oponion on the whole thing. ´... and if freeze needs more than a 10 vote lead to win (stil cant figure why)... then I agree with HQ that RTF (and CTF) should be in this poll too.
