Their server, their rules. What's there to discuss? It's private property, you have no say in how it's run or used.

u dont get it - im not telling them how they should run it
they tells me what i supposed to do/speak
u see the difference?

Yeah, telling people what they can and cannot do is the definition of rules. You presume you have any rights beyond the ones server owners give you, and you're wrong. It's their house, behave in the way you're expected to behave, or don't visit it.

sorry madbringer, but telling the people that they can not speak in their own language is abuse not a rule and we are talkling here about concrete case not generall about rules.
i know the rule definition. but think a little what rule can be given and which one should not be given - cause such rules are obviously restrictions of freedom .

Echo, when you buy a server and start paying for it monthly, than you could tell to players who visit it to talk whatever they want on any language they want. You are just their guest on a server and you play for free ,without having to pay a nickel or dime,so if they tell you to use nickname "im gay" if you want to keep playing there, you will have to obey that or leave.

Dude, are you kidding me? You have exactly zero freedom on any server not owned by yourself. Or, more accurately, exactly as much freedom as the owner gives you (which usually is zero, unless you're an administrator). Not sure where you get off saying restricting language use to English only is abuse - nobody is forcing you to play on that server, you're being provided with the privilege (yes, playing on a privately owned server is a privilege, not a right) of free service provided by the person( s ) maintaining the server. It's exactly the same as with this website, for that matter.

Lol @ people thinking the internet is a democracy.

the fact that i play for free does not give any right to anyone to force me to speak only one correct language, or force me to hide my language instead of being warned and muted.
sure i will never accept it and play on such restricted servers - i dont see any fun in that. i can say more - i would feel like no one if i would accept that situation. and for what reason, hm? cause someone is paying few € for his server - that gives him right to dictate to not speak in own language?
thank you, im going to stay away from that.

Yes, it does give him/her that right, as a matter of fact. It's all fairly elementary stuff - they own the playground, so you play by their rules, and as it happens, writing in English is apparently a rule they're keen on enforcing. You can be as upset as you want about it, but, to be fair, it's a really common rule in most international internet environments, and honestly, everyone should be able to speak at least a little bit of English in this day and age, especially when spending time on the internet, in a community of mixed and varied nationalities. If one cannot, it's their problem, not the problem of people running a server/website/whatever.

im not upset. i think only that rule 'speak english is allowed, speak in any other language is not allowed at all' is more than abuse. with no matter if that rule is set on elitez server, school, work, church, playground, train station, airport etc. its the basic human right to speak in their own language.
you think that im overreacting in that matter - but if you think about that deeper than bringing it down to money and owners/admin right to set rules wwhatever he wants - you will discover that this feeleing 'something is wrong with that' - isn't really as simple as it seems to be: 'u can spoke english/pm others thats it'.

This is why English is the chosen international language for gaming and forums the world over .

This rule was forced upon us as players were swearing and trash talking in our server .

We feel that our servers shouldnt be used in this way , but for the enjoyment of the game .

I feel we were well within our rights to do so , as on here in E+ and our own forum aswell .

If any player after warnings and continues to do so he/she will be muted .

Any player that continues to repeat this will have a short term ban .

This msg goes to every player , anyone that isnt happy with our rules , plz play another server , its as simple as that .
