am i right if i say £400 = 600€?

if yes, buy:

Intel® Pentium DualCore E2140 50€
Thermalright Kühlkörper SI-128 SE 40€
GigaByte P35-DS3 80€
Sapphire HD3870/Zotac GF8800GT AMP! 200/250€

that would be the basic components. overlock the cpu to 3 ghz and thats it.
if this is too expensive, choose a cheeper grafics card
for sure overclock is your own risk. if you overclock, buy the cpu cooler i posted, otherwise the cpu will overheat.

i would not buy amd computers in this time. the athlon x2 prozessors are slower then the intel, and the new phenoms of amd are shit. (everyone who doesnt agree is a nub in hardware)

add me in msn if you have more questions.

Phenom II X2 550 BE @ X4 @ 4x3.1Ghz 1.35v (Unlocked to Quad)
4GB DDR2 800 CL4
Sapphire HD6850 @930/1150Mhz

at first where are ram and psu?

some 2140 have fsb wall rly low and cant get even 2.8 ghz.

if u are pr0 u should know all Phenom 9x00 are early engineering version, and next stepping will have higher performace.

the ram isnt really important for game peformance.
you might be right with the fsb wall, maybe just buy 2160 and you will get the 3ghz
the phenoms 9500 and 9600 are finished and you (should) be able to buy them since 19. november

Im probably gonna do the same thing, wait till january, there will be discounts and we should get a better insight in amd's spider platform (amd rd790fx chipset + ati hd38xx + phenom 9xxx).

As flex said there were some problems with the first phenoms and some mbo/BIOSes,so best thing is to wait, faster phenoms should be out soon and all bugs should be fixed, lets hope.
