Re: Suggestions for new mouse and mousepad

the razer abyssus doesn't use an adns 9500 laser sensor, it uses the same 3500dpi optical 3G sensor as the deathadder (with "no drift control").
it will perform great on cloth, altough A LOT of people seem to suffer from "jittering" when they click, due to the cloth's softness, so you'd better keep your hard plastic pad.

personally i'd say razer is a fucking no go, it was a good company few years ago but nowadays they're just overrated and their fragile mice are overpriced... (btw just LOL at the whole gigantic list of products they're selling, there you can see it's all about money and business)

if you plan to keep that sensitivity and use a cloth pad, then just buy a G1, it's cheaper and won't squeak/break into pieces in no time.

rather go for a microsoft or a logitech.

I had an Abyssus for a day and it did work perfectly with no jitter on my Goliathus Speed. But mine was a newer version and I heard that was happening in older versions. Not right size and shape for me so I got rid of it.

If you buying and old version I recommend you to follow the previous advice. On the DA 3500dpi you can fix that problem by firmware update but on the Abyssus you won't be able to. Wish my DA had my G5/G400 shape or wish I had learnt to play holding the mouse properly Big grin

Re: Suggestions for new mouse and mousepad

very nice link xtermy .)

I've owned an abyssus and had problems with it:
single clicks registered as double or even continuous clicks, and that happened out of the box, and it was definitely not down to the polling rate or any driver options... no jittering on qck heavy though
the other razer mice i've owned had the same kind of issues, i mean clicks/wire problems

apart from this it's really a great mouse, salmosa must be about the same but maybe even more fragile

very nice link for real xtermy, very useful for understand something in all this shit. ah u mean the "mirror" version maybe, anyway d.i.a. and xtermy about this little problem ( that even a my clan mate got this mouse-probmem) im sure in_mouse -1 will resolve it, coz i already had it on my other mouses, that's why i always used -1, with 1 or maybe even 2 i got this shit. and about the cloth with jitter, this speed surface looks like plastic, the control one looks cloth, maybe im wrong dunno, anyway i'll buy even the qck if i'll got problems with the goliathus. about the logitech mouses, i taken the abyssus coz it's the most similar to my hand and coz the most available, didn't find any G1 - G3 or similar around, ofc only new, im bored of used shit on ebay. i agree with u that these are easy shittable mouses, this deathadder is new and it's feet are already half-fucked, or maybe it's just coz my destructor is too much used and old that is not linear so fucked them up. anyway just only if the mouse will fit good in my hand everything will be perfect, i see how confort matters more than dpi/magic/religion/autocoffee etc. and ofc a new mousepad, not the best one but with good surface and NEW. anyway if i'll get payment and will remain something i'll find some other used G1 g3 and diamondback, salmosa. only then i'll have clear idea which mouse will be best for me. after that 2-3-4 mousepads and it will be clear there too. here is my biggest fetish, mouse+mousepad lol

Re: Suggestions for new mouse and mousepad

there are NEW G1, G3, even MX300 on ebay Tongue (you should check the razer krait too, discontinued product but awesome (same faithful 3G sensor as the diamondback))

I'll send you links when I get back home, I still have them in my favorites

and yeah, imo a mouse's shape is definitely its most important pro or con depending on your likings.

I actually had a 2nd hand mirror version and didn't have any problems on my Goliathus speed (it's a cloth mat, nothing about plastic). About your mouse feet problems it's obvious is because using plastic mousepad. That's why I changed to cloth, too much mouse feet replacements with plastic. Good luck with your abyssus Happy

for previous one and newer one u mean normal abyssus and mirror one ? the one i ordered is 3.5 sensor 3500 dpi no mirror, i was thinkin i ordered the 1800 dpi lol, yes i agree with u about feet of thsi mouse coz it's not plastic but it's mixed with metal fractals and it's even too used so it fucks those feet even more, this is almost like metallic, hard pad. and even coz razer shit fucks itself so soon as d.i.e. said. anyway all problems will be fixed with in_mouse -1 im sure. thx alot Winking

Doesn't matter if is mirror or no mirror, it must to have the new firmware but I might be wrong. in_mouse -1 has nothing to do with what you talking about, that's just to solve the problem when mouse rate is set at 1000hz. You should be fine if the shape is right for you. I have a jitter problem with my G400 with the with the Logitech Gaming Software installed and I would be able to play with it but just waiting for the software update so is more smooth.

hmm, well i think this is the new model since it's 3500 dpi. in_mouse -1 helped me alot with mouse automatic shooting and stuff, if i leave it on 1 my mouse keep shotting automatic or does other shit. dunno whay u mean -1 helps with 1000 polling rate, never had problems with it. lol if u wait for logitech for drivers u'll die from oldness and they still didn't release anything, that's the bad side from logitech, or, maybe just coz there ain't anything to be fixed, maybe ur jittering can be fixed from diff mousepad/settings.
