Re: Suggestions for new mouse and mousepad

lighter/smaller/lower/thinner ambidextrous-shaped mice ftw imo.

personally, the shape that suits me the most is the basic shape from the Logitech RX250/G1/G3
RX250 is a cheap crappy mouse with no tracking at all, G3 uses a sluggish laser sensor, G1 is a great mouse with a great optical sensor that will rock on both cloth and hard plastic pads. (these mice won't wear off in few months or even malfunction out of the box like shitty razer stuff...)

from what I read in your post, a "good" laser sensor wouldn't be a handicap for you since you play with a reasonably fast sensitivity and you prefer hard pads. (for example Steelseries Xai is basic-shaped and uses the same high-end laser sensor as Logitech G9X (ADNS-9500) with few minor differences I think, but not sure, ask Fala about it Tongue )

you should even try a glass pad like the Icemat which are hard-wearing and known to work just fine with laser mice (I read that the Steelseries Experience provide worse results)

http://wikis.jp/interfacedevice/index.php?MaximumSpeed_en

here you have a sensors-benchmarking site using the ESReality MouseScore method

so imho, try G1 (G3 isn't that good unless your sens is pretty high I think) or even Xai on a glass pad

btw, to tell us about your sensitivity you should tell how many centimeters you need to move the mouse to make a 180-360 degrees in-game

Re: Suggestions for new mouse and mousepad

ohh this is what i call "mouse topic" lol technical discussion with many "info". well i dunno yet the 360 distance coz i never tryied, i'll tonite after work, and i think i have to turn as slow as i can for do that coz i use accel as i wrote in 1st post, i'll tell u bout that, 2nd thing is, i readed a old topic about perfect mouse sens that if i remember good was from fala, but i dind't understood anything bout it and dunno what to do with those files xml or similar, but i got the feeling that it's a real important thing, so any explainment would be really useful, i'd try e metal pad or glass as u said coz better tracking for laser mices, for metal i found roccat alumic but costs as my house lol icemats i dunno where to find in online stores here in italy, i'll try to search. these G1 and G3 looks like very close to my shape, but too low dpi, i'd keep being on 1800, or maybe id go even up, if im highsenser i think i should use more and lower sens in game, i'll make some tryied with DA even. the xai really tempts me, im sure it would have a good shape, but not so cheapy, i'll check on some online stores. i'll let u know bout 360 after work, thx very much for the detailed help Big grin

impertor is on philips twin eye witch is crappy sensor

if u are a high sense player u cloud try some mices on adns9500 or the abyssus/salmosa on adns 3888/3668

the list of mices for adns 9500 would be quite long

Re: Suggestions for new mouse and mousepad

ah btw can even someone explain me how works that perfect sensitivity calculator? i didn't understood anything, my settings are these :
resolution in game/desktop= 1920x1080/60hzmouse=razer deathadder 3500dpi firmw 2.41, 2.45 got negative accel, after noticed it googled and ppl agreefov= 110-115sens=1.5-1.8dpi= 1800in_mouse= -1accel= 0.5-0.1 to 0.15-0.18sens desktop= 6 without pointer enhancement operating system= win 7cm for 360= never known, will check later, but i guess it depends on cfg, maybe im wrong.
so what should i go with those files for calculate? how to do it?

cm for 360=20cm for 180=15-16sens=1.8accel=0.07fov=115
sounds too much, didn't toughs i were so slow, looks like an lowsenser settings..i think better an optical if im slow like this, optical mouse on 1800dpi + some cloath mousepad? if yes which mousepad?

Don't listen bullshits! The only mousepad you must have is a Steelseries QcK (whatever the size). Others players will confirm it to you. A cheap mousepad, but the best mousepad ever.

thats actually one of the worst choices ever, even the a4tech is better than qck

This answer proves you are an idiot. Stop writing crap just to be clever whereas you are totally wrong.

edit : Just to clarify and shut your fuck up quickly. Cooler, Stermy, Rapha an many other players from the best players at Quake uses this mousepad. What else?

ololo this is what i call self-control, n1. chill down Tongue im gonna make some thinkin about this pad, ofc after read some others comments in here about mousepads. anyway, the logitech G1 really rocks as form, im pretty sure it could fit perfectly, but fuck, 800 dpi. i saw some screenshots of an abyssus compared to my deathadder, in high quality, i remained shocked, never saw the abyssus like that near my mouse, it's exactly what i need as form. it's not tall, not large, not long and ambydestrous (highsensers prefeers ambydestrous if im right ). im gonna make a serious thinkin about the abyssus, and fala even gave me a confirm on the sensor quality. even through i would of tryed the g1. guys some suggestions on speed n detailed surfaces mousepads for optical sensors apart the qck? ( Tongue lol )

I am quite satisfied with my idiocy, and my idiocy tells me qck is a crap

- because infrared sensors skips on this surface
- because it wears off on the borders quickly
- because it deforms when yours hands sweating
- because it changes abilities quickly after some sweat and dirt get in the structure and it cannot be fully washed

qck is exactly the same quality as a4tech cloth pads with the difference that the a4tech is 6 times cheaper

and many ppl around using XAI or RAT but it doesn't change a fact those still are crappy products

the cloth pad that gets actually many positive feedback is razer goliathus speed or puretrak talent

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
the calculator helps to calculate a proper per pixel precision, but of course that's not the max u can get
for yours settings its around 13cm/360*

its in short for fov 90
3,14*1920px=6028,8px
13cm/2,54=5,11"
5,11"*1800cpi=9212,6cp

9212,6cpi > 6028,8px = good precision
