Q3 Stuttering

Hi,

I can't solve my stuttering problem.
Graphics are not smooth they stutter/"lag" Sad.
Its like every frame is not drawn on screen.
I tried to run quake in single core but it doesn't seem to
help.

8800GT/E6550 with winxp

Any suggestions?

try this command.,

r_swapinterval "1"

make sure you set your monitor Hz to at least 60

I tried search before but I didn't find the right thread?

@Reno, I tried that but I didn't see any diffrence.

probably that wallhack of yours doing the problem. its hard to draw the entire map without z-buffer removal Tongue

have same problem with 8800gts
delete/move ur q3config.cfg in baseq3 and e+ folder.
start the game and try with the fresh config. dunno why it helps by me.

Make sure you do NOT use the nvidia beta drivers... I needed beta drivers to play timeshift... but when they were installed... q3 was lagging all the way or even crashed.. when i finished timeshift and installed non-beta.. it was ok again.

I've seem to have done some toiletting on your floor... good thing I brought this pie scented cleaner!

I tried removing configs but it didn't help.
I don't use beta drivers. I have 169.02 forceware.

When did the problem start? when you got a new video-card? or maybe you 've got new computer??
