punkbuster problems

Hey,
i've been trying to play on the MR freeze server and all of a sudden i am now getting kicked by punkbuster. I've attached a pic of what it tells me.

The problem is that i am running windows x64 and punkbuster doesnt like it....
does anyone know how to solve my problem?

welcome to the club. I get kicked from certain PB servers with that message. Im on WinXP w/SP2, I don't know the solution to the problem

But I'm posting so that someone will see this and help.

Another post by RedKnight that makes no freakin sense!

unfortunately i am already on the admin account.
I dont bother with named accounts, its just too much effort when installing Happy

That is not the problem. I too am on an admin account on my xp machine when I play. I even "run as" and choos the admin account just to make sure it should work, and on certain PB servers the problem still happens. Evenbalance need to repair this problem and quickly.

It is dependent on the server I join however, so maybe someone could experiment with CFG settings to remedy the problem?

i say just remove punkbuster from all servers, if people want to cheat then they will anyway.

The point of punkbuster IS to stop cheats, so how can they cheat anyway ?

and if a cheat is undetected by pb, u can add cvars of the undedected cheat in ur pbsv.cfg and it helps anyway. u just need a bit knowledge about the big cheater commitiys in germany and russia.

That sentence was what I expected when reading the first post. That lamer seems not to like PB. Hmm very very probable for a cheater rofl.

From my understanding of punkbuster it will detect known cheats only, just like a virus scanner, so all it takes is someone making a new one and will be able to cheat all day long.

mores the point i see loads of players complaining that other people cheat, but in reality i expect it is just their ego being bruised by someone better than them.

My problems with punkbuster are that it doesnt support xp64, which it doesnt.

it also lags your game when it tries to mindlessly scan your quake 3 files

The less said about Edy the better......
