Ok, can anyone help me. I think there is a cvar for this.

I can't see the red part of my rockets.... I can see the rocket itself but this is not very visible or useful in gameplay. Same thing with plasma, I can see the cyan color, but I can see a see through blob that looks like the plasma but this is also not very visible.

Also, I can't see through the see through teleporters where you can see people on the other side... it just looks black in the middle and white on the edges...

Now recently, my lg is really fat and blurry and it just looks bad and is not helpful for aiming... as opposed to a slimmer beam. This is the same with the railgun. The railgun is now fatter than normal... so with show gun it looks blurry and junk.. This is annoying.

I think this has to do with some with the r_ cvars. I don't know.

i think u gotta remove whatever u think its suspect in ur baseq3 folder ( first pk3's starting with z and many others cause u dont need them ) and cl_allowdownload 0 Winking Im not good at this ..

wait for some1 who knows to post but delete those pk3s too starting with z till then Winking

first make new q3config.cfg as u writen in other post u want do that, then use proper xp_noMip value, perhaps default....

Yeah, I went to the default and it still didn't fix the rockets and plasma so I'm thinking it is also a .pk3 probably starting with z... makes sense. Thanks. Happy

The config fixed the rail and lg and I'm not sure about teleporter yet...

Figured it out, it was a stupid z-lowexplosions.pk3 somethin' that keeps downloading everytime I joined an excessive server called Public Bad blood or w/e. Lol, alright thanks.

But I still can't view through the teleporter... it's black in the middle and white on the edge but can't see othher side.

I'm still Devo.

About the teleporter - it's a custom pk3 that's doing that I had the same prob, and in my case, it was some map or other i downloaded from lvlworld.

it could be this cmd /r_fastsky 1 turn it to 0 and u should be able to see through the teleporter

Lol, awesome! It worked... but I don't really want the sky on, is there a way to turn the sky off and keep fastsky 0? Man, I feel really picky, but thanks for the lots of help. Happy

Another thing... Lol, when I start quake the game console comes up and loads but then the game screen starts off small and dragable... how do I get it to start fullscreen so I don't have to hi alt+enter? It did this when I went to the default config so it has to be something in my Autoexec.

you cant see through teleporters and have simple sky.

they both use the same principle (seeing into another zone).

about the window, check your graphics setting in your autoexec or q3config.

you will spot all the necesarry commands Happy
