PB and the red lines

I made a recent search and tryed to install the most up to date PB,
I tryed the lagfree PB files, but I guess they cause me more lag at PBon games
I lowered settings of quake to a decently light weight level over PC, but at PBon games, I still get many red lines at the Lagometer (or whatever it's name is, that little window at the lower right corner of screen) and seem to be a great reason for a none smooth game experience..
Any solutions?
Is that performance related, connection related, or some PB issue

Buy new hardware.
www.pingtest.net and www.speedtest.net try those and post results.

serch in internet for process lasso and tcpoptimizer, should help u with process administrations and iternet optimization, though i never experienced red spikes because of pb, this would be rather a routing issue, or major problems with the wan/lan adapter

i'd like to try them
also, red lines are dropped packets, i think pb doesnt cause packet dropping
use cl_packetdup 1 or 2
