What's new moderators going to do?

Erm,
First of all, why don't we wait for people to say if they wanna moderate this place ?Imo, it's a bit too easy to ask who we'd like to see as a moderator here. After all a moderator is promoted to this position by the administration crew. Imo, a moderator is not here to be your friend, its goal is to be as neutral as possible, weighing pros and cons, beeing clear and well manered and not afraid of applying rules/deciding by its own.
Can we set up a little list of actual people who asked to be a moderator ?
The principal mistake lately was to promote some people as moderators without letting the community acknowledge about that new move.
If i remember well, we decided about the latest and up-to-date plusN config as a general comunity topic (well, in that case it was necessary to let people tell what they preferred) but it went like a no end topic ! So I would prefer to let people apply for that job and wait for the final answer…I'm not sure we are that constructive by telling who we wanna have as a moderator. Everyone has enough experience with forums in general to know how a good moderator should be !
