I don't really know about modern-day mice but I still have my mx510 from christmas 2000 and works great, and i am a very clicky user.

i have shoot/jump on my l/r mbuttons (along with various weapon switches) but it's not to focus on anything. It's just more comfortable. usually less jumping means more precise/consistent aim but you can train yourself to bypass that to some extent with experience and set-up.

The Logitech MX510 was released on March 19th, 2004. So you must've gotten a different mouse for Christmas of 2000. Tongue

meh regardless of release date, i've had my MX510 since i've been in e+ around 2004

i dont see how people break the MX mice so easy
