@Reno, I was wondered yesterday what to say, actually I can't find the "perfect" mouse for myself, all of them have cons and pros like the holding methods.

not reading all posts, but i want to "fix" this statement.

people always say perfect perfect perfect, but without defining what perfect means for them.

[code:1]
wikipedia:
Perfection is, broadly, a state of completeness and flawlessness.
[...]
[/code:1]
ofc this does not help us because its the general term.

so what is a perfect mouse?
complete?
flawless?

lets begin with flawless:

  • When a mouse does not have traction loss - in any way
  • When a mouse does not make ur hands hurt while playing
  • When a mouse aint to have, making ur hand tired.
  • When a mouse does not have any response problems with clicking etc.
  • ...

so what is complete now?
while flawless is about if the stuff a mouse can do work without problem, complete is rather about the features of a mouse:

  • mousefeet are good for ur sensitivity (wmo uses some kind of plastic mousefeet which have neat abilitys on light weighted mouse, u roughly shake because they have more friction then teflon)
  • lightweight cable is always great for a mouse.
  • enough sidebuttons
  • good mousewheel
  • ...

ofc, this are just a few notes, which can help u make urself an own oppinion about ur mouse.

however, never forgett, the whole mouse feeling is decided by 3,5 things:

  • Hand: Size, skinsweat and muscles.
  • Mouse: Shape, Grip and sensor.
  • Mousepad: Gliding, faulty parts on the mousepad, size.
and other stuff like mouse hz, all the software things are the 0,5

considering this, we get to this final result:

Mouse + Mousepad + Hand = 1f (feeling)

since from all these stuff, the hand is the flexible one (together with the mouse weight if u got weights for it) , u can not say a mouse is perfectly adjusted to ur hand, rather say ur hand is fine with the mouse.

knowing this, every mouse can be perfect from shape, if its sensor and button amount works out. (see flex1 MXadder)
a good example for this is TorZelan using the microsoft intellimouse explorer 1.1a (similar to wmo) since its out on the market.
same as im nearly perfectly fine with the deathadder meanwhile (i got some faulty part on the mousepad making the mouse work odd).

That’s the obvious thing skull, a hand will need to adapt for the mouse, that why I mean there is no ideal shape, every mouse need a bit of adjusting, but some constructions limits u by the shape of how good and solid the grip is, not talking about ergonomics in here but about effectivity of a hold.

btw. did talked with Torz. before and he showed me not InteliEye 1.1a but WMO 1.1a as a mouse he uses Winking

he never specified the mouse he used exactly towards me more then ie 1.1a Winking it doesnt matter for him anyways since any mouse same size same weight same sensor will work out for him.

ofc its the obvious, but if people are digging into the detail they oversee it.

out there are plenty misunderstandings because WMO actually uses InteliEye sensor but WMO is not IntealiEye mouse

I showed to him a picture of WMO and he said this is the mouse he own

Thanks for all of the information!

I just bought the Logitech G9. The PC shop guy kept telling me how good it was and he was practically masterbating telling me "The G9 is God"

So I got a deal for £30.00 GBP (which is 33 EUR roughly)

- I notice that the side buttons are too high, and too far back + they are connected (not 2 seperate buttons) which is really annoying already.
- Control is very smooth, but the shape is really odd for a human hand
- The scroll wheel behaves strange (left and right shift - wtf?)

I think i'll continue to use this and see if I get used to it, and maybe ask Santa Claus for a different mouse for Christmas Big grin

cheers

You got a nice price on the G9! I wanted one for a while but when I finally held one in my hand the feeling was just "wrong" somehow so I didn't go for it when I had the cash. Heh. Ended up paying my car insurance an extra month. lol
