So do 2 or 1 team advance per group in your scenario? .Se is fine with whatever, we'd like to just keep it simple & play tag the whole way though.

So, if I understand it right one team per group advances to a final. You essentially killed off 2 teams in our group that would otherwise, in all likelihood, advance if they were in group A or had the loser bracket intact. And since you didn't hold up the tournament games got played and you had to stick with it amending the groups as you saw fit. Ugh, certainly a novel way.
Also how long will you wait for answers if to accept tag + tdm?

I did in on purpose to make groups balanced, in case I take Poland and Sweden and place them into the 1st group - we already have the winners of the group (you can say me that everything could happen, I agree, but still there are around 90% chances for this result). If I hold them in the group B I can't clearly tell the winners (taking fast look on the squads, I can't predict it). And the same is for group A.
Group B is stronger, but the best teams from group A would fight vs best teams from group B.
I think with such groups we could see the competition untill it's end as in the group A as in the group B, the winner is only one anyway. In this way teams would be prepared for every game, because now I can't say that any team leader would take some game as easy win for them.
