nice read, though i cant help but think anarco sydicalist commune ( see monty python's holy grail )

Maybe we should vote on all posts before they are posted, then there would be on arguments and we would have total democracy Happy

But seriously, are we doing such a bad job to make this debate useful let alone a reality.

If giving up my free time to try and please all the people all the time is anything less than valued, ill stop tomorrow...

Exaaaaaaaaaaactly what's wrong with these forums. Few people actually "read" what's going on. Most read the one-liners only and then act like they know wtf is going on. Conclusion: I don't even bother trying anymore. Even that very small thing arguing with such people does to my nerves, it's not worth it, really.

It is painfully obvious to me that people who claim the mods are "tight" haven't been in other communities. One rule broken, one warning. Second time, you are out.-

Concerning dak, he "turned" pretty suddenly so it's very possible something nasty happened in his life.

ps1: @hella, i didn't quote you for something personal (that's why the "---") is there

ps2: Not locking threads moved to trashcan (except if they really get out of hand) is an idea if people actually have a problem with threads moving there too fast or with a weak reason

ps3: Noname mods is a good idea too, i saw on other communities. "E+mod1, E+mod2, E+mod3 etc). But it's a tiny community and it would lame to "shuffle" the cards now

hehe no prob...i admit i didn't read fully...just went on what i thought the floe of the thread was.... ma baad. normally though i do read fully through..i was tired. but i made up for it. by editing my post.

moderators work looks pretty ok to me. Changing mod each year by votes of the community is sensless, there will be always some ppl unhappy about mod work, behaviour etc.
Why can't you accept things as it is now. Moderators here are pretty old players, that have a wide knowledge about everyone here and a long experience about how moderating. Some of them made some mistakes long time ago but who didn't ? maybe the extraordinary guy Happy
And if easy, edy, term and budman are agree with each other well + team made the mod, the least they can have is a control right on their website administration, and give the job to ppl they trust personnally and not to ppl chosen by the community.
In my opinion this is more about personal conflicts than the way this forum is actually moderated. However giving suggestions about new ways of admining forums and how enhance rules is always positive and i can only congrat u warner for taking time to explain your ideas/suggestions. I just think it is not needed and not appropriated.

Easy is the one who says how things are being done here, so, if anyone thinks current system is not working properly, that it's being abused etc, feel free to take the matter straight to him. Be sure to take proofs of exactly why and how the current system is failing, and some convincing arguments why yours is better. It's as simple as that.

And Wax, golden words. I've taken the job to help out the community, i had lots of free time, and lots of enthusiasm. Moderating these forums really opened my eyes about some people. About what some people are behind their masks.

I like to think that the least i can expect for spending my free time to keep this house clean is some degree of respect, even from people who may not like me as a person. If i got a penny for every time i got called a faggot, fucker, asshole, idiot etc because of thread lockage, trashing, giving warnings, i'd have been a second Bill Gates by now.

Many demands are ridiculous anyhow, this forum is a free service. Nobody pays here or gets money for something.

Some should realise that.

A basic info: No other mod in Q3 has such a tight community like e +.

Nevertheless, sometimes it is better to be quiet and to be content with that what we have. One must not invent the wheel constantly anew.

Btw, and no one is special person, just because he has another opinion than the most. Particularly not if this somebody knows to help him self just with insults and indecent gestures.

Well i made my job i feel that my unique thing that i can do is to make my suggestions and thats all, my objetives dont live here.

Evererybody is special just for the fact that is alive and life is a miracle.

Wax i dont think u may got confused or feel that ppl have badly valued ur work here, all the systems can have always improvements and retro feeding by all the members and this is not just because somthing is wrong but because all the live systems must keep changing if want to live. Please dont misunderstad me or feel ofended just because a suggestion, think that more ppl here wants to be part and cooperate.

There are some points that i think is neccesary to finish here :

1.- We need to change the way that mods and ppl react when some member of this community is feeling or telling that somthing is wrong like now dakarin. in the last 9-8 months i have see here more and more cases like this and its imporant to take care of this. Independently if she/he is using the best way to solve the problem its important to make somthing and try always to find the best solution.

2.- about the suggestion by Equi for the trashcan im waiting some opinions from mods about it. And i make another two more suggestion to this:
there are some rules for all users here that if u dont folow u know ur comments can go directly to the trash.. ok, i I think by now there are not some rules to moderate the way that comments are trashed so i will give 2 things that are important to take care to avoid problems with the ppl who have trashed stuff:
2.1 If by rules the coments are out of context just trash it but i dont think its fair that mods can add the last replay with his personal comments about, because just they can write.
2.1 to avoid futures problems or annoying members, when the treath dont have a subject please Dont use his personal comments as subjet, less still if the comments are ironic or directly to something , use subjet just to include the reason or rule that apply in this case and becasue the comments are in the trash. I dont think this kind of subject is correct :
"hi guys, i'm an angry kid"

the last point its about dakarin, is sad to let him just go, please try to talk with him and found a middle situation where both sides can feel good, maybe trough pm, msn, icq, etc. but I want to request to all mods to not let go ppl in an angry way, is not good, after all we all are ppl here and spects somnthig from this community.

Well ppl this are my 2 cents (read this in another post and i think this is an expression to say this is my little help, i hope Happy )

Greetings

We has been felling ourself like a drop of water out of the ocean, smalls, weak, etc.
What if we introduce the drop into the ocean?
From that perspective the drop do not feel itself anymore small or weak ... Can u feel what it means?

Tried that last week, i/we care about such situations believe it or not Happy

And no i didn’t take anything personally. its just I don’t think the mod team is "broke" in any way so no fix is needed, and I don’t think it operates to a degree that necessitates change, change is not always the answer in life.

Stability and familiarity can have great value is some things.

Then it looks like you've been paying attention to what's happening here only for 8-9 months. There were lots of meltdowns before, there will be lots of meltdowns after.

Sides, take a look at what i've written here. From a neutral stand-point, i'd say it's a very calm way to react when someone repeatadly tells "fuck you", tells lies about you, and generally tries to throw as much shit as he can in your face.

The only "personal comments" are a reminder of standing forums rules, warning not to do whatever the post or thread was trashed for again and an explanation why the thread landed in the trash.

Most of the titles are jokes in context, so let's not take them so serious.

I have my dignity, and i will not reach out to a person who treated me like shit for no valid reason at all. He had a problem with me, he could talk to me, i'm never against that. But he crossed over a line he shouldn't have crossed, and it depends solely on himself wether he sticks here or not. I personally, with his current attitude, will NOT miss him.

And what do you want me to say to him? "I'm sorry Dak-A-riN, you're right, i should go fuck myself as you so humbly suggested numerous times, and, of course, i will never again trash your posts, even if they're pure trolls, and will never stand against your opinions, no matter how unfair or retarded."

C'mon man.

As for Equis suggestion, i don't get it. You guys want an "Uncensored, nearly unmoderated Off-topic" sub-forum?
