today i started q3 and i got heart attack my config is broken. i added yesterday some "bind = say &tap_myflag2.wav ..." and today i got in console: Cbuf_InsertText overflowed. i removed this binds and isnt help. what can i do with that. config got 16,2 KB EM told me its can have only 16 KB or it isnt work. any ideas?

EM:
do this.
delete some unused commands & binds. u must have size of cfg file under 16KB.

I igree EM is right, size is important.

big thanks this solution helped. now my cfg got 15,5 KB and it works fine.

and remember ppl size is important !!!!

Oh, Great u helped yourself. What would it be if u were alone and couldnt help yourself .... disasster :mrgreen:

But now iam thinking aobut writing new config without any unusful commands. HQ's config has 5 kb.

How should i make a new cfg from the beginning?
Erase everything from q3config.cfg and let the game to write it?
or ... ?

if u delete your cfg the q3a wil set all to default and u will get a clean cfg
but make a copy of your cfg for sure
