hello, some good brainy man know what is this ?Worried and why i geting kick by HACK. Its telling me some like that :

"Hack : using vertex lightmap approximation"

what does it mean, and how i can repair it Worried.

u can change it by some cmd....something like r_lightmap or r_vertex.... something like that Big grin

You are probably not kicked because of this, if you scroll upper in console you'll why you was kicked.
HACK : using vertex lightmap approximation is mentionned everytime on every Q3 engines.

This has nothing to do with a "hack" on your side. Programmers use this term to indicate that they implemented a workaround for a problem. Such workarounds are considered being a hack, since it's not a proper solution for a problem.

Yep exactly what Bozo said its true. Im a programmer and im doing hacks too Tongue (ofc i avoid them as hell). It's nothing bad with them.. are only strange fixes/non-standard solutions.

Its like when you wanna go to get some beer from a store that its on a big distance from where you are. And you have 2 ways: either you get the bus (wating for it ..) or you get your manager's car and go for it (without his notice ofc). The 2nd option is the "hacked fix" for your problem.. now the first one is not a bad solution .. but what if you need to get that in less then 10 minutes ? Go Go Go Car!

Maybe you can give a bit more details? Do you have a screenshot of the problem? Do you get kicked by PunkBuster or by PURE? Or maybe by the server when you load some map? When does it happen? Before or after you enter the map?
