When you walk up the stairs and shoot down on the ground, rail shoots at the wrong place. When you walk up the stairs and shoot in front of you, rail aims just fine.
The funny things is, when making a demo of the shot, it records it just fine. FPS are stable at 125, changing it to 90 doesn't help, changing resolution doesn't help as well.
I attached the demo, but you can only see how I tested it, not what went wrong..

Go on the server and try to do exactly what I did in demo and you will see for yourself that rail hits a place above the point where you aim at.
BTW: we had a really nice game last weekend, Pla, Menjek, Mixerx and Ali came to fight on the new ZoO server. Would you like to come along too sometime? )

You dont have to, it's not specific to e+. It's there in baseq3, edawn and even cpma.

Anyway, it seems it's actually a feature, not a bug, because stair climbing movement is smoothed and it doesn't feel jerky, as it appears on the demo. However, it does effect aiming, because with that smooth being applied, when you are climbing up stairs your muzzle point is actually in a higher place, so no idea what to do in this case.

Well, I would just leave it as it is then. Seeing the origin of the bug which comes from a feature, it seems like it's a hard one to fix without effecting the feature. There are more important things to fix or add atm Winking.
@Menphis: spec will be fine too Happy
