Ok i do not use /rotation.txt excessiveplus dir does not have this file, and quake3 does not have it at all; and if i do not specify this file on server cfg:
//seta xp_rotation ""
i got error.
if specifying
seta xp_rotation ""
removes error mesage :}
I wonder from where comes that error if server does not have that file at all, and even finds that Unexpected '(null)' in /rotation.txt on line 31 ?
if u use // it counts as comment in the cfg, usefull for other persons looking in ur server cfg if u share it.
there is maybe a rotation.txt in one of the e+ pk3s, but im not sure.

From excessiveplus/q3config.cfg it has by default value rotation.txt
Fixed. For the moment, just add an empty line at the end of the rotation file.
Edit: It seems your problem is actually another. Since you got linux, search in both your /usr/local/games/quake3/excessiveplus and in your ~/.q3a/excessiveplus directories. There isn't any rotation file in the pk3s.
this is read only file, and have only this value entry :} so how comes that 31line have some wrong entry :} ?
Dir excessiveplus/q3config.cfg
// generated by quake, do not modify
unbindall
The majority of people think they think, when really they just change their prejudices. Understanding is a matter of will in most cases.
