Explosions not showing up?

I haven't done anything but suddenly I can't see the explosion caused by weapons?

Explosions not showing up?

u accidently download a file that removes explosions.
just delete in ur /quake3/baseq3 folder z6-lowexplosions.pk3 (search for lowexplosions) and then turn off autodownload with cl_allowdownload 0 in console or turn it off in setup

Ok it was a file called explosion1.shader located in pak6.pk3. Thanks for your help. Happy

EDIT: It wasn't quite working, could someone upload their pak6.pk3 please?

can you upload a screenshot of, lets say, bfg shot hitting a wall?

Explosions not showing up?

anyone know where i can get that file. i once had it by accident and liked it but then accidentally deleted it in the process of reinstalling quake. I want it because in E+ there are so many bfg explosions that render me aimless because my crosshair will blend in with the explosions perfectly (obviously you can tell i use a white crosshair)

You can't play with that file here.
