whole package is not updated, you need to download it first and then replace 3 files from here:

no it is not bad, more peoples could play it & if they like it also download full mod and test, who knows how long rc1, rc2, rc3... would be here till final version.

ops, sry, I made a mistake, I though you said 'can' instead of 'cant' XD
also I though that non mod players can still connect to 1.04

Another little update. Just switched /say_team and /say_spec functions when spectating a locked team and cleaned some code.

Just to remind you, edy told he will update sod.cfg. If he does not fast enough for your taste, than make the sod.cfg by urself...

Oh, didnt try to uninstall old version first.
Good to hear modless can connect.

Here you have. I just translated existing 1.03 sod.cfg to 1.04 syntax, but have never played sod before.

Actually no, because i have no access to german mirror. So you will have to download both the main package and the server update (last one only, im actually overwriting the same file).
The server updates are not actually needed to start a server, but they are a new way of developing server-side fixes and testing improvements and features without having to wait until next release, since servers can now be updated any time because they are dll/so based, so pk3 files dont need to be touched and pure is let intact.
Modless players are and have always been able to connect to 1.04 servers (pure and pb disabled ofc). However, mod is not backwards compatible with 1.03 nor any previous 1.04 betas.
