Client Files

Since Excessive Plus can be played without any client side modifications this download is optional.

But you will get

complete new scoreboards,
players country display,
extended player names with flashing or blinking characters,
new graphical weapon and explosion effects,
and many more usefull adjustments!

by downloading it.
Installation instructions can be found either at the FAQ or within the included "readme.txt" file.

To play Excessive Plus on the internet you have three options

Download the .zip file to have all client side modifications.
Set "cl_allowDownload 1" or use the game options menu and you will download the necessary files direct from the Quake server.
Download absolutely nothing and play without the client side modifications (NOT RECOMMENDED)

To play Excessive Plus at single player mode you'll need the .zip file!

Downloading this will allow you to host your own Excessive Plus server and get listed at GameSpy, The All-Seeing Eye or in the server window to your right.

This Quake III Arena modification is highly configurable and customizable. That means you can modify almost everything!
