E+ without radio and voices sound files.

Hey Peeps,
i would like to ask if anyone knows, if theres a possibility to get a working E+ version without radio, voice and voices soundfiles ... This feature is not used on our server but increases drastically the filesize of the mod ...I tried to erease them from "z-xp-2_0a.pk3" but it looks like E+ has a checksum...
Or maybe theres still a dev who could compile such version?Thx in advance!

You can't remove them, source would be needed to recompile without them and thats not possible. It doesn't impact performance and you can always disable it via xp_no.

did you try replace them with empty sound files / same names ?

I guess it would only benefit mod download time ? but with an up to date engine is downloaded in seconds.

and remember your removing the possibility of any of your users to play on another e+ server by using a custom edited e+, i recommend you do like i did with freon and move aw freezer to its own mod folder, this way they have aw freezer mod separate from e+, all else is the same only difference mod name and folder and you gain more freedom to further customize.

Yeah thats what is bothering me actualy, cuz there are a bunch of players which never heard of 1.32e and still run the 1.32c version Confused thats reducing download speed to ~ 400-500 kb/s

Yeah i saw your way to run your servers and its an nice idea, i wish i came with such way earlier than it would sapre me many probs... im working actualy on own packs and will run soon our server this way...

Anyway do you know if any of the devs are alive? Who could at least upload the source?....

is the only dev with the source. Try your luck pming him but the source wont be shared, he could however recompile it for you without those sounds in a few seconds.
