yes, im thinkin about FTAG mostly!-
Coz we havent played TDM (Domination for example), yet.
But e+CTF is even faster!

Even normal Q3 is quite fast,
if u play on small maps ...
for E+ we would need even bigger maps
(than those, that ur thinkin about now)!

But im not against ur idea! (:

Besides the binds, that im almost usin -
im also usin sign-language! Tongue
walkin/crouchin in a certain direction,
switchin to gauntlet or movin the head! <:

Hy,

seem like we got a "bit" different understanding of Quake 3 in general. Happy

I love that good old game the OSP like way ... and I had to find out via
the awesome e+ Server Vanilla! CTF that this Mod is able to be used for
some serious "pro" CTF gaming.

If you configure it in that way you can find out that communication is quite
necessary to win a game. In the video you posted, I could see a too chaotic
and very fast way of Q3 .. which may be fun .. and I got to agree for games
like that, those variables may be useless and the players won't follow it.

But please don't forget .. it's just one way of using it .. as written above.
If you play Q3 CTF more natively, without wired Rail-Jumps and luck based
rush jumping, than you could find out - those tiny variables may help a lot.

I don't like to start a flame war or a political mod discussion.
We just got different points of view .. which is good and pushes e+!
I just asked if there would be a way to get those 3 vars into my config.

I love Q3 like in those movies (..best in HD, Fullscreen and loud!)

i agree with you about the need for precise and good communication for slow paced ctf..

but you will notice that this mod is dominated by plusn tag and rail only tag players, who most likely have no use for that.. "competitive" ctf in e+ died in december 2009 during the 3. bananas cup due to config changes and more and more people losing interest.. after one year with only a few public and pickupgames the ctf scene would be hard to revive and most likely wont play on vanilla!

I wasn't aware of that and I think it's sad.
But that is for sure only my point of view.

At least inside of this thread .. are more
guys who think that this would had a true
usage for them .. just like for me.
