[Closed] Thaw Sounds
It would be cool if we won't hear thaw's sounds, such as railgun, bfg, lg Sometimes its annoying, cause you think its your enemy behind the corner. How do you think?
there is a reason i use keel ;o)
thaw sound is a diff one in other mods, anybody has some mp3 of ice cracking?

woud be cool on the next release to add different effects and chose by example xp_thawsound 1-2-3

oh, talking about that it was always pretty usefull to determine where the enemy stood, especially if he moved the body so as long as its optional, fine.
I will use thaw sound 7 because I'm special ....har har yea har har! xD
OT: I think it's good this way because the frozen enemies can distract you, and it takes more concentration to distinguish a real enemy from frozen body (based on listening to the sounds only)....
I got killed bunch of times entering a room and facing to a sound of rg/lg at a frozen body behind a corner (which I thought was alive and camping) while the real enemy was across the room taking shots at me xD ffs
So, as Orby said, add xp_thawsound 1 2 3 4... And add command for disable or enable frozen body sound
I would suggest on that case that something like :
xp_thawSound "gen_hello1.wav" xp_thawExplosion "gen_goodbye1.wav" xp_enemyThawSound "gen_pass1.wav" xp_enemyThawExplosion "gen_thatsux1.wav"
those are just example of sounds to show that it could be adapted to player's settings.
ofc a default value is set if file not found or pure ON.
