u need to have both, edit and view to chase, then space e or q should work, might be i told the wrong buttons, look up in mme tutorial.

edit:

C : pause / resume demo playback
 
Hold Shift + move the mouse : control demo time
 
Hold Shift + D : move 4 seconds forward in time (you can hold this down)
 
Hold Shift + A : move 4 seconds back in time (you can hold this down too)
 
btw, it also works if u dont have a mvd, however mouse will look a bit fucked up.
X, Z = Cycle views [Camera, Chase, Follow(1st person)]
 
SHIFT + move the mouse = Time control
 
Hold Space + E : follow next player
 
Hold Space + Q : follow last player 

or with other words, all u need to do is load a demo, press 2, hold space and hit q once and release space.

btw, ull need this: (dont forgett to insert some pm models into mme folder)

bind k "clientoverride enemy c1 2222 hmodel keel/pm model keel/pm"

Q3mme playback for MVD demos is good only on free-fly or camera captures IMO. For watching an specific player POV e+ should be better, since the playback is more smooth and it has more information from the player state.

right now i cant see a fucking diff beast, how do u know e+ displays better?

btw, mme has the advantage that u can set enemymodels just for one team only via clientoverride red/blue, while in e+ all people will have enemymodel for example.

ofc names are a bit fucked sometimes, same goes to scoreboard.

You're right, I take back what I said about e+ playing it smoother, since I just remembered that the fix for the MVD demo smoothing was server-side. However, e+ still gets a bit more info about the player state. xD

would be new for me that e+ has more info about player state since mme plays eveyrthing back thats in demo, which is mousemovement/hp/position frags etc.

just scoreboard and names would be diff imo.

btw, there is one annoying thing, due to the namefix in e+, mme cant display chat.

Doesn't work for me, I tried to do what you wrote, but also tried to change VIEW to 'chase' with x or z, still didn't work with the demo of Extreme vs DS CPM14, try yourself. DEMO HERE

did u start mme with the bat or run the exe? (if yes, run the bat instead)

will check demo tonight.
