[Closed] FPS problem
Here is my prolblem about beta4:
Next issue: FPSOn 1.03 i have still 125fps no matter what map and location. On 1.04 i have just 75fps, sometimes more but most of time around 75
My hardware is:
laptop: ASUS F5SL, Core2Duo 1,73Ghz, Radeon T3470 256MB, 3GB DDR
os: Vista Home Premium
resolution: 1680x1050All q3 settings u can see in my cfg.
R there any commands to make my fps like in 1.03? Also isn't it possible to enable hud like in 1.03? Plze help.
Now on beta5 it's fixed but still no correctly.
I have now sth about 125fps, but sometimes my fps coming down to 25 or 28. It's look like hmm 10secs: 125fps and for 2-3 secs 25-28. If i stop in place where it comes to 28 and no move than it's still 28.
Look here:
Please help me with it. I don't understand this jumps of fps
U can check my cfg
do you have this problem on my client config in beta5 too?
I had some FPS problem also before
I've changed power settings for my processor. Look like ok now. I will watch it and post results here soon.
Yeah this could be the issue i have done the same, also changed my cooler to the cpu and changed the powersuply to the computer now evrything works flawless again.
Good Luck

I think its not a cfg problem. Do as impressive says, more chances 2 get rid of lags
its cfg, well i cant point directly which cmd or cmds are ruining fps, but i haved same problem with heavily dropping fps like from 125 to even 60 on wide areas with more then 3 players in screen, so some day ago i rechecked all r_ setups (throw-ed out mostly not so important sets) and some changed there i don't know but fps now are stable - even i surprised...
well suggestion check your configs at render sections i think there is some old sets left that some options ruins a litle bit somethings...
hm try turning off, synchronization off every frame (r_finish , this one have impact to fps
and using vertex lightning instead of lightmap gives notable fps boost
mmm other things il maybe some day will compare with my old cfg... if someone asks
add: and u can lover some to r_subdivisions 999 (0 - h.quality) makes more stable fps
anubis,
i dont mean to be rude, but 1-st check his cfg, and after that - make conclusion.
