darky don't just go on what you see happening as nudge will make inconsistencies especially at 20 which is very high value. Read up on it then you will see and be like ahhh this is good for people with weird ass internet. i myself wont provide a explanation on it as i don't know and remember enough details only really when it should be used , side affects and some other random shit as its abit to patchy for me to give a full technical explanation.

"cl_timeNudge

- This affects how your client processes the snapshots it
receives.Normally the client compares one snapshot with the next and
interpolates between the two.If you set this to a negative value, you
can adjust the interpolation of snapshots to compensate for lag.The more
negative timenudge you use, the more unsmooth other players will
appear, but the less latency you will have.The hardcoded limit is
between -30 and +30.You can use positive values of timenudge to affect
snapshot interpolation with an opposite effect, making the game much
smoother, although deliberately delayed.Timenudge only directly affects
the latency of the incoming data and does not directly affect the data
that you send to the server."

So the affects of time nudge can not be seen from another client in the sever looking at someone with adjusted nudge value. The lower values give the side affects of predicted movement etc which is bad as you will never be a good player shooting at things which "might" be their. Higher values smooth out gameplay if you are loosing packets but delay what you see compared to everyone else however the smoother game could make it more enjoyable playing experience compared to lagging around like someone doing the robot. Its your choice to use a positive value to help you in this way but its normally down to what your used to.

Also this description in the documentation not for leymens at all i think their should be a simplified version with a link saying "more details" to a forum page which someone of knowledge, dedicates all that they know on the topic. Otherwise people are going to read this and not be any wiser.

meteor, in text can be lot of things writed, but in practice its totaly different Happy even with -5

How not? so why do i see? : ) the clear difference between the cl_timenudge with negative valua, insted of = 0 ?

-30 its a nonsense, but if they really want to have no predicted between updates their choice

@Darky, people don't lag because of the negative nudge, i never experienced that someone did lagged because of this, since nudge changes the server snapsshots, and the data what client is sending is determinate by cl_maxpackets that's why every NG player who want to make himself harder to hit setting it to minimum

@Skull can u explain what the yellow color means? (i know) but i seems to don't understand what u trying to say that's why i ask for it and probably all the rest of players going to be thankful

Another question for people, every of u probably noticed that when he do play at -30 every target movement isn't smooth why?

well, u also can ask rose if she does see lagers when they do use cl_timenudge -15 and up Tongue
i clearly see them teleporting over the map like they have packet loss or smth...so i clearly see that box lol...

also i do have packet loss if i set it up of -15 : ]
