Can´t excec autoexcec! Help please!

So I´ve gotten addicted to E+.
Was years since i played Q3 but i am back since a few weeks and i am lovin´ E+ Happy

Anyway. Used to old Q3 and osp, i remember i had an autoexcec.cfg with some favorite settings in the old days.

I can´t for in name of god make Q3 excec the autoexcec.cfg file i have created!

I have tried copying the autoexcec.cfg to all game folders including my CPMA E+ BASEQ3, or just the baseq3, made sure there is no extension like autoexcec.cfg.txt. Tried bringing down the console typing /excec autoexcec.cfg. I´ve spent hours and hours tryin to get it to work! It just doesen´t kick in!

Anyone have any idea!? Help please!

the file and the command are called /exec and autoexec.cfg

if u change name/ using /exec problem should be solved

Thanks but I still don´t get it.

Now I found some old pro dudes autoexcec and q3config files, just dropped them into the baseq3 folder, so autoexcec, cfg works in that folder, but doesen´t get called when i load E+ mod, even if I copy the same autoexcec.cfg from the baseq3 folder over to the excessive folder.

Man this sucks

well first, did you actually install the mod? or you have server side only files?

second, load e+ mod directly, not baseq3, then "mods" link in the menu.

i think it goes something like

quake3.exe +set fs_game "excessiveplus"

put that in some batch or make a link to q3 and edit its properties.

should help.

if not, you should scan your pk3 files, for sometimes model/map authors put autoexec.cfg into their pk3's, and always the last file is the current one

in that case try putting your autoexec.cfg into a zip and rename that zip into "zzzzz.pk3"

that way it will be loaded last and overwrite everything that was loaded before.

There is no problem.

u type excec, but it is supposed to be exec so, "autoexec" and NOT "autoexcec"

maybe to make it really clear:

its EXEC and not EXCEC
its AUTOEXEC and not AUTOEXCEC
