ye ye ye, i dont tell what u have to do, just that it is not truly smart Winking

btw, on linux u dont have to be so much afraid of viruses as on windows, that is still a fact. so, beazt, if u r still on ur ubuntu distribution, u dont have to fear a lot, linux haxors usually dont look for privat computers.

i changed hardware so i had to reinstall everything. So iam actually on win mc only (linux have no problems with hardware change but i had to reinstall win so it rewrote boot and i have to install ubuntu again).

Sure i dont use antivir on linux. But when i used mainly linux, i stopped to using this programs in windows too. And i dont see any problem. But how i propably wrote in previous post. Its about ppl. If you know what you do, you dont need any software which secure your steps.

When i was newbie on internet, i had to use antispyware etc because my PC was full of this shit after short time. Now iam visiting favorite clear websites, downloading from servers, where i know that content is clear too and i can in win use just firewall and i dont feel fear from viruses

Just to clear out my point, it is really enough to move ur mouse above a thumbnail. Such infected pictures can be on "any" website, even on ur providers site or whereever. Which doesnt mean, that this pictures are always infected, since serios sites will always have an eye on their security, just for their own reputation (filesize check and hash-number-check). But those sites can be also infected temporary.

That also doesnt mean, that u will get any virus, i just mean, u live risky, even if u think u know what u do, but when u think u know what u do, it doesnt also mean, u r save.

That is all.

about the smartguys without any protections, u guys know, that it can be enough to just move ur mouse over an infected thumbnail to get some bad stuff? And u dont must go to some dubios sites for it, every site can have infected pictures. And if u have bad luck, u will be not even able to format ur hdd.

I use AVG and zone alarm - they both do the job needed with little intrusion to your pc usage and they are updatable and free..
also i would reccommed that people use at least adaware (free) or spybot (free) also i posted this on shout box a program that looks at vunerabilities in software and gives you the patch or reccomends action.. easy-peasy to use. find it here.. https://psi.secunia.com/
one thing i say is i see people here say that they never see a virus on their pc - maybe this is a bad thing as today attacks are properly stealth attacks.. beware!
also if anyone wants a copy of these uniblue tools (with serial Nos) http://www.liutilities.com/ give me a PM. these are hot, try the free scan and see what it finds on your pc.. (do i sound like a sales banner Happy ) seriously PM me...
