Hey I want to ask if it's worth to use drivers for Geforce 7300GT from OmegaDrivers.net. What's the difference between official nvidia drivers and omega?

Does any of you use these drivers?

Sure you can. Omega drivers are based on official nvidia drivers. Difference is, that authors of omega improved this drivers for higher power/stability

WARNING: I had major problems with tweak force drivers and quake 3.There is a weird string in those drivers which makes quake unable to communicate with the driver, with a bit of help from bert i managed to solve annoying problems these drivers were causing, like:

- unable to store and save any gfx settings or even change it on the fly
- impossible to change gamma cause of known "SetdevicegammaRamp failed" issue

The drivers were 84.56v3 version and card is 6600 GT.Im back to NGO 93.81 and they work flawlessly...they even feel smoother in games then tweakforce's did.

this type of drivers is based on quality settings which arent showed in driver settings. So performance is getting by reduce quality of displayed graphic.

I suggest you ONLY use drivers from the official Nvidia website Happy
Drivers from this site are reliable, depending on ofc if you select the correct ones.

In past when i had GF4 Ti4200 and nvidia released first forceware versions i had problems with this forceware shit (bluescreens). So i installed omega and this drivers were stable (no bluescreens) and my counter-strike: source had more FPS Winking

Since nvidia released stable forceware drivers (after 6 months of forceware lifetime) iam using again official drivers.

Yes I agree to Your point.

Hey Auth If U know what U need from Your graphics device eg. occ quality, performance, or stability(occ) iv suggesting stay with nv official drivers & get some good tweaking tool (RivaTuner..) - U may gain what U seeking.
Otherwise U can choose already tuned things. Omega's are balancing to get better quality w.o. compromised performance.

I was using those some long time ago on ati9200 - worked OK. 7600GS worked stable only with official drivers. Now I'm with Linux only.

The majority of people think they think, when really they just change their prejudices. Understanding is a matter of will in most cases.

Actually, what I want from other drivers is QUALITY and I dont care about performance, because I'm rendering few q3 videos and the quality matters most. I've tried Omega drivers but... I get BLACK screen with WHITE lines and dost when I start windows Winking had to revert back to official's...
