A little problem with 2!sweet ftag server
so here my opinion, cause today i installed a complete other version of quake with "new" pk3's and all stuff, and with this quake i have same problem on 2sweet server, it is really only on 2sweet, i have tested it couple of times ... "old" version is running perfekt so i think its definitely a version or pk3 problem or smth like that ...

Neo
Hm neo, you just gave me an idea ![]()
Maddbringer, did you install 1.03 as an upgrade from 1.02b or as a standalone? I mean, did your q3 first have 1.02b installed?

^^ i have installed 1.03 as 1.03 and as upgrade from 1.02b and as zip and all stuff and its still there, so i think its no e+ prob ... not sure, perhaps we have different probs with that (but i dont think so).
well i am not sure if it helps that try to some patches and so on in www.speedguide.net somepatches are modifiyng the number of tranfsres etc just look around and try ![]()
this is only ISP problem. route to that specific server can be jammed at certain times.imagine the web as a succession of nodes.hundred of people connecting at various nodes with various puposes.....and you still awaiting for that snapshot ...
....
so if u have Dynamic IP..restart your connection. should help a lot.if u dont..well just keep on trying and write on console /timescale 100 ..../reconnect

Nah guys, i'm perfectly sure it's my ISP and it's damn transfer limit. Check this out: As soon as it kicked in i could no longer hop in on the server. When it was lifted, i could. I did reinstall my windows in the mean time, but i have exactly the same configuration i had before (same drivers etc.), my quake is exactly the same too. My guess is that the configuration on the 2!sweet server has a set required packet transfer in order for the server to acknowledge the client connecting is "alive", and with a limited connection i didn't "check out" as being "alive". I could be wrong, it could be something else, but my theory is backed up by the fact that this server is the only one i have problems with connecting to during my limited transfer period.
