A little problem with 2!sweet ftag server

Well, not little, major problem. Aight, here's what's happening: each time i try to connect to 2!sweet server everything seems to be fine up until the "Awaiting Snapshot" status on the loading screen pops up, after that the loading process seems to freeze. It dosen't hook up my computer or quake, i just press escape and all is fine, it gets me back to the main menu. I don't have this problem on any other server afaik. Also, i didn't add any new stuff to my config, i didn't dl any new pk3 files etc, one second it's working and the next one it's not. Any ideas wtf is happening ?

I never had that problem,but I had a different one.After awaiting snapshot I get the message that I need to update my e+ version,yada yada yada...and after that "server is for low pings only" or it just stays on the "u need to update" part although my version is up to date ofc 
The solution is to completely exit quake and reenter again,but its irritating cause sometimes it takes 2 or 3 times to finally enter.This was happening on some 2!S servers,not all,and concerning your problem,try reinstalling quake III and e+ (fresh new install).Also maybe u have some weird pk3 files or temp files that are causing these problems,on lemon public server its explained how to play on pure servers.So maybe try that 2,meaning that u leave only necessary default pk3 files in your baseq3 and e+ dir.

Yeah, seems like i have to do that... sigh
But, you know, that's the weird thing, i don't have any non-default pk3's in my baseq3 and excessiveplus folders, aside from some custom maps. More weirder is that i have been playing on 2!Sweet ftag server for like a month now, and that problem only started occuring 2 days ago...

Sigh...
Well, i have, uh.. "acquired" a copy of q3 from "alternate sources" 
and installed a fresh copy + pr 1.32 + eplus. No budge tho, still can't get into the 2sweet server 
I have an idea though, my ISP has a bandwidth limit that kicks in after a specific amount of data was downloaded to my computer, and i believe i have reached the limit this month (as you can guess i watch lots of porn 
). Since the limit started working, i noticed severe instability in my ping on many servers (bro, da etc.) and it effectly renders my experience on deex's ftag server as inplayable. Now, i'm no expert on this sort of thing, but is it possible that i can't play on 2!sweet server because of this limit ?
If that's the case then i'll have to wait until April the first, if not then i suppose i'll have to call my ISP..
What do you guys think ?

mhh mad i have same problem when i want to start a lan server over the game and i click on start and it hangs ant awaiting snapshot (but this problem is only at the first time, so when i start it again, it will work. it isnt always but most the time i tried that it was like this
but on net servers i have had never heared of this problem, its strange thing cause i really have 0 ideas where it can come from, at first i thought it was just a bug, but there must be something special behind ... i will google a little bit for that and ask some friends perhaps somebody knows what that is

i had the exact same problem i think if you just reconnect it would be ok. But maybe that ISP thing is a problem too i have the same fuckin thing with my stupid ISP and it pisses me off

Actualy since it hapens on 2sweet (and not on some other) could be punkbuster is having a fight with your drivers... most likely graphics. Try using older or newer drivers. I had a simmilar issue with ati control center, when i updated it, problem went away.

Some update on my problem: I was actually able to get past the loading screen once today when joining the 2!sweet server, but my ping was like 800+, and i was unable to do anything. I reconnected and it froze again on the loading screen. Someone plz help, i love playing on 2!sweet server, boohoohooooo
