More map stuff

Here is a preview video. I should have finish this map by now but i have not worked on it for a long period due to separate studies. Also every time i look at it i always find something i want to change. anyways the map is playable as i get a good 125fps on it with only a fps drop every 15mins (on a Pentium dual core 2.2 and 4 gig ram laptop which i would say is not as powerful as most desktops today) or so which is good despite the size and the detail within the map which for many current maps it dwarfs in them aspects when you look at it relatively.

Anyways i apologize at the bad quality video for this is my first youtube video and i found it a pain to upload the original so i had to compress it.

One final thing i how yet to think of a name i have themed the map with water and stone in a rustic/Gothic style so maybe you can get an idea about that.

EDIT: i will do an overhaul on lighting soon a repost a new video so you can actually see my map and not just black. keep an eye out for it. actually that takes ages instead you will have to wait

Map looks very like quake 1 style which is good,
but I'm affraid e+ style is not gonna addapt it.

yes i looking at it now i didn't plan it all to well to be a e+ style map but i have used alot of clip so it should be bfg friendly however im not fussed if it don't work for e+ as its not always the easiest style to accommodate for, after Ive finished i will submit to lvlworld i'm sure someone will have some fun out of it. Because of the size of it i think it maybe best if it is used in big events and not a casual sever map if it is used.

yea i have a brightview monitor which is a good moniter it has lovely aspect of showing deep darks and bright lights however on most other moniters everything just looks darker and duller. it makes things a pain when i try to get the lighting correct. however the first room is too dark. on the third room the lighting does not seem to be as bad but don't worry i will make sure in the end you will be able to see without darkness. also the video compression has made it quite alot darker as well. so its suffered alot though many things which i have difficulty controlling. once i've finished with it and its still to dark i would not mind passing it onto someone else to fix the lighting.

i will find a way!
